Works by Gioachino Rossini, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giuseppe Verdi and others
In their ninth season, the Würth Philharmonic Orchestra continues its tradition of presenting its annual New Year’s Concert on January 6th. You can look forward to an entertaining program dedicated primarily to some highlights of Italian opera. A particular highlight will be “Largo al factotum,” Figaro’s famous entrance aria from Rossini’s opera “Il barbiere di Siviglia.”
The Würth Philharmonic will be conducted at this concert by the multi-award-winning Andriy Yurkevych. As chief conductor of the Prague State Opera, he is, among other things, a sought-after specialist in the Italian repertoire. The celebrated baritone Nicola Alaimo, who will be appearing at the Carmen Würth Forum for the second time, will deliver a brilliant vocal performance. With his warm, powerful voice and charismatic stage presence, he is a particularly sought-after interpreter of Italian opera.
